6 Tips On What To Take On Tahiti Holiday

6 Tips On What To Take On Tahiti Holiday

So, you’ve decided to take a holiday trip to Tahiti. Congratulations! You’re about to visit one of the most beautiful places on earth. But what should you pack for Tahiti vacations from Canada? We’ll discuss a few of the essentials here.

Wardrobe choices

Remember that Tahiti is at tropical location, and it’s warm most of the time. When packing, focus on comfortable warm-weather clothes. Tahiti is very laid back, and the dress code is casual even in upscale restaurants. Sandals are the footwear of choice and there is no need for the men in your party to pack a necktie. Shorts, short-sleeved shirts, sundresses and skirts will give you a lot of wardrobe mileage. Also, because there’s a very good chance you’ll be in the water at least some of the time on a Tahiti holiday, it’s wise to pack at least a couple of bathing suits, flip flops or water shoes for protecting your feet from the coral on the ocean floor.

Protect your skin

If you aren’t accustomed to tropical weather, it can be easy to underestimate just how powerful the tropical sun can be. Be sure to pack a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and lots of sunscreen.

Bring necessities from home

When you travel to exotic locales, it’s important to understand that you might not be able to find the same necessities that you would be able to find at home. Even if you can find what you need, because virtually everything is imported to Tahiti, you’ll pay a premium price for it. Bring things such as personal items, pain remedies, etc. that you anticipate needing.

Keep dining costs as low as possible

Dining in Tahiti can also be costly. Although you will almost certainly have to eat out the majority of the time for your meals, there are ways to reduce cost. Pack snacks from home and stock up on local baguettes, cheese, local fruit or French wine (Tahiti is part of French Polynesia) to keep dining costs as low as possible.

Leave your laptop at home

You may be tempted to bring along your computer, whether to look up attractions to attend or to send photos back home, it’s not generally worth the hassle. Internet access in Tahiti is mediocre at best. Leave your computer at home and have a truly unplugged vacation instead.

Leave room for souvenirs

When you pack your suitcase, remember that Tahiti is a great place to find some unique and special souvenirs. Unless you want to buy (and pay to check) an additional bag on your trip home, it’s best to leave room in your suitcase for those extras you’ll bring home with you. Of course, if you don’t mind checking an extra bag or are flying an airline that allows you to check more bags for free, purchasing a souvenir bag on your trip and filling it with treasures is a fun way to go.

Dieting: The Spiritual Truth About Your Addition To Cookies (CLICK)

Dieting: The Spiritual Truth About Your Addition To Cookies (CLICK)

The Girl Scout Cookies were calling me. Nothing is worse than feeling like your eating habits are driving you.

That day, Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies were in the driver’s seat. I was still at 240 pounds, but I had decided to change my eating habits.

However, I had forgotten about my Girl Scout cookie order before making that decision. It seems whenever you try to change, something always happens to test your resolve.

I brought the cookies home and put them in the freezer. I thought that I could control my portions. “I’ll just eat two cookies,” I told myself.

However after I ate those, the cookies started calling me: “Kim, eat me, eat me!”

I thought obeying that voice would shut it up, so I got 2 more cookies.

I ate those, but the cookies continued calling. I got 2 more and ate them.

Finally after hearing the call to eat them again, I got mad. I took the box out of the freezer and threw the box on the kitchen floor. Then, I jumped up and down on it!

When the box was as flat as a pancake, I took it into the bathroom, dumped the crumbs into the toilet, and flushed them. The calls stopped.

I’ve learned that certain foods can hijack your brain chemically. Now, some people can eat Girl Scout cookies and stop with 1 or 2. That’s not what I’m talking about.

But for me, eating sugary foods impact my brain chemistry. When I eat them, I always want to eat more – not only of sugary foods, but they leave me hungrier so I end up eating more of everything else!

That is the story of the flesh, by the way. It always wants more. No matter how much you give into your flesh, it will never be ever enough.

Here’s the Spiritual truth: Living to please your flesh will always put you in bondage. The chains may be invisible, but they are chains nevertheless.

So how do you get free from the tyranny of the flesh?

In the following article, you’ll learn 4 Spiritual actions to help overcome food addictions daily.

Fitness: Is it Normal To Wheeze During Exercise?

Fitness: Is it Normal To Wheeze During Exercise?

Physical exercise on a regular basis is very important for health and wellbeing of every individual. You exercise to stay in shape, to lose weight, and to live a happy and satisfied life.

When you exercise, your adrenalin and dopamine levels go up, and your stress levels go down. To put it frankly, you feel like you are at the top of the world, at the end of every workout routine.

But, if you always experience wheeziness, cough or breathlessness throughout your exercise, it is probably time to address that issue, and pay a visit to your doctor.

Wheezing can be caused by many factors. If it happens during and after exercise usually, happens because of airways shrinking. This is why you wheeze, cough or have shortness of breath. Wheezing induced by physical activity is called bronchoconstriction. During any exercise you breathe faster, and your airways become dry. Breathing is, basically, exchange of carbon dioxide for oxygen. The more you move your body, the more oxygen you need.

Sometimes wheezing or coughing is just a normal reaction of your body because of the physical strain you put your body through and dryness of your throat, but if your symptoms are more severe, that could mean that you probably have some health condition and that you need medical guidance. In some cases wheezing completely disappears as the levels of exercises progress.

You may have asthma or allergies

Don’t be alarmed if you do. Both are treatable and manageable. Asthma makes your airway inflamed, which means that your air paths become narrower, and therefore, it becomes harder for you to breathe, to swallow and to talk. You feel shortness of breath and pain in your chest.

Very similar things happen with allergies. Your airways and your lungs can become irritated because of the hypersensitivity of your immune system, making it harder for you to breathe.

People with asthma and allergies struggle with their symptoms every time they try to run or dance, or exercise in any other way, especially if they try to do their workout outside. That doesn’t mean they should stop. On the contrary. Some studies even show that asthma can be induced by a decrease in physical activity. So, every excuse to move your body is welcomed.

Your respiration rate is high

This is a normal occurrence. During any exercise, you will experience an increase of your respiration rate. In simple terms, a respiration rate is some breaths per minute. When you run or ride your bicycle, for example, your heart works twice as harder for your muscles to receive much-needed oxygen and blood. Your breathing rises from normal 15 breaths per minute to staggering 40 to 50 breaths per minute. The harder you exercise, more breaths per minute you need to take in.

If you are a novice to training, it is important not to panic if you start to wheeze, or feel harsh and tingling sensations in your throat and lungs. Perhaps you just exaggerated with your training and burned your body limits to the maximum. Your high respiration during exercise is normal, and if you start wheezing it will eventually sort itself out. If it doesn’t, go to your doctor immediately, and do some tests. Maybe you have asthma or some other chronic condition that can point to a more serious medical condition.

Your breathing rate will usually go back to normal within 10 minutes after you are done with your workout.

You may have cold

Cold is a very common infectious disease. Symptoms can include wheezing, runny nose, coughing and sneezing. Those symptoms can interfere with your workout routine, and sometimes even occur in the middle of your exercise, especially if you exercise in cold weather too much. If you have a cold, it’s best for you to stop temporarily with your exercise until you feel better.

Conclusion

Wheeziness during exercise can be a serious symptom. If your wheezing is caused by asthma, allergies or a common cold, it can be managed with medication, and other kinds of care, like avoiding areas with allergenic pollen and foods that can cause allergies or areas that are not ventilated properly.

Whether it is a sign of asthma, infection or plain cold, wheeziness and symptoms similar to wheeziness can be reduced by proper breathing techniques everyone should learn. Those techniques are comparable to meditation, and can also be used during exercise or yoga:

· Long breathing, in and out, through both nostrils

· Practicing exhalation, and taking long (not deep) breaths

· Making sure that exhale is complete, and that all of the bad air is out of your   lungs

· Breathe with your stomach, not your chest

Financing Your Wedding 101, By Yoma Victor

Financing Your Wedding 101, By Yoma Victor

She sat there looking like she was lost – at least in my head she was. However, in reality, she was already ‘found’ .. but that was also part of the numerous thought in my head. I don’t know who had taken her but I had convinced myself that there was no way a lady as beautiful as her could be single. I kept thinking she can’t be single, lost or alone. How is that even possible? What about all the men who had seen here before me?

As I wandered off in my thoughts, the footsteps of our course facilitator brought me back to reality. Our leadership training kicked off but that still didn’t knock her off my thoughts. In the course of training, the facilitator asked a question and after two other people couldn’t handle it, I answered. As soon as I was done, he looked at me and asked ‘Did you read my notes? Did you know my thoughts? How did you answer that so excellently?‘. As the closed room adulation of our trainer and my classmates continued, I could clearly see hints of admiration from you-now-know-who; I do not know how  but I think generally, most women love a fine, bright guy.

One thing led to another and before you knew it, a new couple had emerged from the ‘ashes’ of a leadership training programme. Do not despise the seemingly unimportant settings. Don’t be there dreaming you have to compulsory meet her in a romantic some place followed by some Disney-themed timeline. Not everyone gets a dreamy destination hook up. She just might be waiting for you at the vulcaniser’s or inside a danfo or at the buka behind your work place – selling the food. The ways of the Lord are past finding out my people. Anyways, back to love things before I run off too far.

One year down the line, marriage has become the goal, parents have been met, introduction done, list of requirements received, the prospective couple are sitting looking at each other and as a gentleman extraordinaire, brother isn’t planning to burden the sister financially – na there matter come dey. How will this small expensive Nigerian wedding be funded? The budgeted expense is winning the battle between itself and brother’s savings and that doesn’t even include unbudgeted expenses. The sweet matter of marriage is now generating bitter tastes here and there, straining the main matter of love.

One issue in Africa that has been raised is that people will give you money for your wedding, but won’t have money on offer when you want to launch a business. Somehow in Africa, people will buy enough liquor when you want to party, but won’t release a dime when you want to embark on your dream project. Is this a bad thing? I don’t know about you but I think it is great! Every situation provides opportunity for innovation. I have found the way to raise the marriage funds and leave the sweet couple debt-free.

Approach Your Wedding Like A Business

Get a business plan for your wedding, do the SWOT analysis, establish the core market (immediate family) you are serving and then the general market (friends of friends or friends and their friends) that will come and chop, clean mouth and go home without dropping gift or money. Ensure your budget has a ‘Plan B’, ‘Plan C’ and ‘Plan D’. Ensure that you factor in exchange rate fluctuations and the price of things like fuel and tomato. Do not forget the branding, etc.

Armed with this well packaged business plan (I can do this for you at an affordable fee), you then go out for marketing. The most important part of this endeavor. Since they are ready to pump money into your wedding, you might as well be a businessman about it. Plan to spend 30 – 50% of the funds raised for execution, because you need to use the other 50% for honeymoon, running costs of the new home and investment to ensure the school fees of the soon coming kids are paid for. I think it is very unwise to spend money and hope that on the d-day, guests will spray money that will cover your expenses. See, you will have more fun that day if you follow my plan. It saved the couple above. Guys, what do you think? Let’s go make greatness happen!

The Truth About Saccharin – A Good Or Bad Sweetener Good Or Bad?

The Truth About Saccharin – A Good Or Bad Sweetener Good Or Bad?

Saccharin is one of the oldest artificial sweeteners on the market.

In fact, it has been used to sweeten foods and drinks for over 100 years.

However, it wasn’t until the ’60s and ’70s that it became popular as a sugar replacement.

Some say that replacing sugar with saccharin benefits weight loss, diabetes and dental health.

Others are skeptical about the safety of all artificial sweeteners, including this one.

artificial_sweetener_01

What Is Saccharin?

It is an artificial or non-nutritive sweetener.

It is made in a laboratory through the oxidation of the chemicals ofo-toluenesulfonamide or phthalic anhydride. It looks like white, crystalline powder.

It is commonly used as a sugar substitute because it doesn’t contain calories or carbs. Humans can’t break down saccharin, so it leaves the body unchanged.

It is around 300–400 times sweeter than regular sugar, so you only need a small amount to get the sweet taste.

However, it can have an unpleasant, bitter aftertaste. This is why this sweetener is often mixed with other low or zero-calorie sweeteners.

For example, saccharin is sometimes combined with aspartame, another low-calorie sweetener commonly found in carbonated diet drinks.

Food manufacturers are very fond of saccharin because it’s fairly stable and has a long shelf life. It’s safe to consume even after years of storage.

In addition to carbonated diet drinks, saccharin is used to sweeten low-calorie candies, jams, jellies and cookies. It is also used in many medicines.

Saccharin can be used like table sugar to sprinkle onto food, such as cereal or fruit, or used as a sugar substitute in coffee or when baking.

Evidence Suggests That it is Safe For Human Consumption

Health authorities all agree that saccharin is safe for human consumption.

These include the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

However, this wasn’t always the case. Back in the 1970s, several studies linked saccharin to the development of bladder cancer in rats (1).

It was then classified as “possibly cancerous to humans.” Yet further research discovered that the cancer development in rats was not relevant to humans.

Observational studies in humans showed no clear link between saccharin consumption and the risk of cancer (2, 3, 4).

Due to the lack of solid evidence linking saccharin to cancer development, its classification was changed to “not classifiable as cancerous to humans” (5).

However, despite the lack of evidence linking saccharin to cancer, many experts feel observational studies are not sufficient to confirm there is definitely no risk.

Therefore, many still recommend that people avoid saccharin.

Bottom Line: Observational studies in humans have found no evidence that saccharin causes cancer or any harm to human health.

Food Sources of Saccharin

Saccharin is found in a wide variety of “diet foods” and drinks. It’s also used as a table sweetener.

It’s sold under brand names like Sweet ‘N Low,Sweet Twin and Necta Sweet.

Saccharin is available as both granules and as a liquid, with one serving providing sweetness comparable to two teaspoons of sugar.

Another common source of saccharin is artificially sweetened drinks, but the FDA restricts this amount to no more than 12 mg per fluid ounce.

Due to the ban on saccharin in the 1970s, many diet drink manufacturers switched to aspartame as a sweetener and continue to use it today.

Saccharin is often used in baked goods, jams, jelly, chewing gum, canned fruit, candy, dessert toppings and salad dressings.

It can also be found in cosmetic products, including toothpaste and mouthwash. Additionally, it’s a common ingredient in medicines, vitamins and pharmaceuticals.

In the European Union, saccharin that has been added to food or drinks can be identified as E954 on the nutrition label.

#GoodNews Ladies: There’s A Microchip For The Penis To Catch A Man Cheating (CLICK)

If he has sex with someone OTHER than you, it sends alerts to your phone (!!!) Worried your man might be cheating? Then have we got the set of microchip for his penis and a matching one for your vagina!

Commit-Tech (a most likely fake company) has announced a November launch for a product designed to stop cheaters in their semen-covered tracks.

Just get your guy to slip this chip into the tip of his penis (here is where I started laugh-crying and never stopped). Then, put a similar chip in your vulva, download the Commit-Tech app to your smartphone and presto, sexo, you’ve got constant access to his doodle and all of its activities.

The device claims that if the penis with said chip in it has sex with a hole that does not have the corresponding chip inside of it, it will send an alert to your phone.

Can you imagine being at work, leaning in hard and leading a meeting about last month’s numbers and your phone vibrates. You glance down, adjusting your sensible Meroni suit jacket and see “TREVOR IS PORKING SOME STRANGER” flashing on your screen.

Then you’re like “Again with this, Trevor?” And you get distracted and botch the meeting and now you’ll never be CFO all because of Trevor, his penis, and high tech phone science.

This story smells totally fake, but it’s not outside the realm of what’s possible. Until popular science comes up with a way of making penile microchip insertion pleasant and totally not suspicious, those worried that their partners are stepping out on them can do what all paranoid girlfriends have done since the advent of smartphones: Track his ass using a GPS.

There is another alternative measure you can take if you suspect that your dude is cheating. You could be like “Hey, we need to talk, I’m feeling like there is some cheating happening.” What’s great about doing this is that every single man on planet earth when confronted this way will respond with: “WHAT? ME? CHEAT? NO? YOU’RE CRAZY!”

The good news is that because men are as transparent as sheets of the finest rice paper, you’ll be able to glean from his own rendition of this response whether or not it is true and proceed from there.

If you think your dude is cheating, the truth is almost inconsequential.

The fact that you’re feeling insecure in the relationship is what matters. It’s a sign there’s shit that needs to be addressed. I’m sorry to say there is no penile microchip that can miraculous heal your own trust issues.

Fitness: The ONE Thing People With Self Discipline Do

Fitness: The ONE Thing People With Self Discipline Do

Have you ever wondered what separates the self disciplined person from the undisciplined person? See if you can recognize the difference in this story.

A man decided that he wanted to become a tightrope walker. He had been friends with an experienced tightrope walker for years. He admired his older friend’s skill, fitness, and grace.

He envied how the crowd “Oohed” and “Ahhed” as his friend navigated a thin rope several feet high in the air. He saw how his friend drank in the crowd’s thunderous applause after he completed each dangerous stunt in triumph.

The man didn’t feel good about himself and he thought the key to change was getting the crowd’s approval. After all, he thought, that’s what his friend had and he was the most confident man he knew.

So one day, he told his tightrope-walker friend that he noticed a wire between 2 buildings downtown and he intended to walk across that. He was going to do it during the lunch hour when there would be lots of people around to see and applaud him.

“No!” The experienced tightrope walker said,” You’ve never even walked across a stick on the ground, never mind a tightrope. Let me train you. First, you’ll begin with a beam on the ground. That will start to train your balance.

Once you master crossing that, then we’ll raise the beam off the ground a few feet. We will keep raising the bar as you improve, giving you more complicated crossings to build up your skills. With time, you will learn to become experienced tightrope walker too.”

The man frowned. “That’s too much work! It will take too long. Plus, there is no crowd around to see me practice. I want that love and approval you get.”

The friend shook his head. “You are only seeing the end of my story. You didn’t see the work it took to get here. I spent hours training – even when nobody was watching, even when nobody applauded me. I practiced every day. Sometimes, I even fell off the beam! But I got back up.

If you want to become a tightrope walker, that is what you must do. Plus, I don’t do this to get the crowd’s approval. That only lasts a short while anyway. I am doing this because I love to do it. Friend, you need to approve yourself right now for who you are – not because of what you do.”

But the man left the experienced tightrope walker, thinking he was going to do the stunt anyway. He wanted the shortcut to applause, not all that work and practice his friend talked about. Surely there was an easier way to becoming a professional tightrope walker! He was going to find that easier way.

A few weeks later, the experienced tightrope walker was shocked to see the man’s picture on the news. But it was not a happy news story. The man had attempted the tightrope walking stunt. However, he did not get the applause he was seeking. He only got the reaction of a horrified crowd as he fell to his death.

This man’s story illustrates an important key to self discipline – 1 key that he ignored. Did you guess what it was?

Hint: It’s also how God Himself operates!
